Rules & Regulations

Understand the guidelines, attendance requirements, and code of conduct at KAPMI.

  • Irregular attendance, indifference to classwork, tests, and indiscipline will lead to disciplinary action.
  • Students must not enter or leave the class without permission.
  • Latecomers will be marked absent for the period.
  • Each section will be guided by a Class Mentor assigned by the Principal.
  • College property must be used carefully and protected at all costs.
  • Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited.
  • Students must carry their identity card during college hours.
  • Class tests will contribute to internal assessment.
  • Parents must meet the Principal/Mentor regularly to track student progress.
  • College working hours: 9:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM

  • Admission is based on marks obtained in the Pre-University examination.
  • Students must follow all college rules issued from time to time.
  • Re-admission depends on satisfactory attendance and conduct.
  • Seat reservation follows government norms; caste/income certificates are required.
  • Original Marks Card, Transfer Certificate, and Caste/Income Certificate must be submitted at admission.
  • Each class has a seat reserved under the sports quota.
  • Students transferring from other colleges must obtain prior permission from the Registrar, Kuvempu University.
  • Students from other states must obtain an eligibility certificate from Kuvempu University.

  • Each semester is treated as a unit for attendance calculation.
  • Students must have at least 75% attendance in each subject to qualify for exams.
  • Those failing to meet attendance requirements must repeat the semester.
  • Participation in sports, NCC, NSS, or cultural events (up to 30 days per year) is permitted with prior approval.

  • Candidates must apply for all subjects in the semester during their first attempt at the examination.

  • Students must maintain satisfactory attendance and progress to appear for exams.
  • Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory to write exams.
  • Students lacking minimum attendance are ineligible for scholarships.
  • Progress is evaluated based on attendance and internal marks.
  • Absence during tests reflects unsatisfactory progress.
  • Misbehavior results in disciplinary action, including rustication if necessary.
  • Ragging and malpractice are punishable offenses.
  • โ€œNo-Dueโ€ certificate is required before collecting the hall ticket.
  • Minimum passing mark: 40% overall (35% in theory + 40% internal).
  • Class divisions:
    • 70% and above โ€“ First Class with Distinction
    • 60โ€“69% โ€“ First Class
    • 50โ€“59% โ€“ Second Class
