Manasa Trust was founded with the objective of promoting the concept of positive mental health education and trying to drive away the myths and misconceptions regarding human behaviour, thus contributing towards the overall development of the community.
It was established in the year 1998 as a charitable trust with multiple objectives and soon decided to focus more on the primary objective of imparting education. In order to realise the educational objectives of the Trust, over a period of time the following educational units have been established.
Manasa Trust has carved a niche for itself in the field of education with its premier educational units offering quality training in diverse disciplines. It has successfully educated and trained students in nursing, psychology, and psychiatric social work through around 90 batches.
Postgraduate students in psychology and social work from various universities are provided opportunities for assignments and internships at our nodal institution, Manasa Nursing Home, catering to the growing demand for counselling and psychotherapy.
“Manasa Trust hosts literary, socio-cultural, and academic activities including the annual Late Kateel Appu Pai Lectures by distinguished speakers such as Dr. Kiran Bedi, Girish Karnad, Justice Santosh Hegde, and Shri Jairam Ramesh.”
The Trust also offers post-graduate diploma courses through Manasa Educational Foundation for Mental Health to spread authentic mental health education and train a new generation of mental health professionals.
