The Department of PG Studies and Research in Psychology, Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial College, Shivamogga, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Neenaada Alumni Association, organised a workshop titled “Careers Beyond Classrooms – Exploring Emerging Opportunities in Content Creation” on 2nd November 2026 under the Alumni Interaction initiative.

The session was led by Ms. Bhagavathi Shree, an alumna of the MSc Psychology (2023–25) batch and the creator of the Kannada Mental Health PVT Limited. During the workshop, she highlighted the growing opportunities beyond conventional academic and career pathways, emphasising the importance of effective communication, networking, creativity, digital skills and personal branding in today’s competitive employment landscape.

She encouraged students to identify emerging opportunities, explore their individual interests and transform their skills into sustainable career options rather than depending solely on conventional employment opportunities. Sharing her journey as a content creator, she explained how social media platforms have enabled her to spread mental health awareness in Kannada, reaching audiences across Karnataka, different parts of India and even globally.

She also shared how her digital presence has helped her connect with individuals seeking mental health support and created meaningful professional opportunities. The workshop witnessed the active participation of more than 150 students from various programmes, including undergraduate courses, MSc Psychology, BSc Nursing and NCVRT vocational training programmes. The interactive session provided valuable insights into content creation, digital entrepreneurship, self-employment, professional networking and emerging career possibilities.

The workshop served as an inspiring platform for students to explore opportunities beyond classrooms, recognise their potential and develop the skills required to create meaningful careers in an evolving professional world.
