The Literary club of the English department aims to foster a love for literature, language and creative expression among students. It provides a platform for students to enhance their literary skills, critical thinking and communication abilities through various activities and events. The club encourages students to explore different genres of literature, analyze literary works and engage in discussions about books and authors. We invite special speakers, eminent writers, critics, scholars, and experts from different colleges and universities to share their insights and experiences with students. The club helps to enhance language skills through activities like seminars, special lectures, group discussions, workshops and creative writing. The club helps students to improve their LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) skills and provides opportunities for students to express their creativity through writing poetry and other artistic endeavors. The club often collaborates with other organizations and communities to reach a wider audience and promote literary activities within the college and community. Overall, the literary club of the English department plays a vital role in enriching the academic and cultural life of students and developing essential skills for their personal and professional growth.

"Film Club"

The Student’s Film Club of the English Department provides students with opportunities to explore the world of cinema — to analyze films and even create their own. It offers an engaging platform for watching and discussing movies while learning about film theory, history, and production. The club supports and enhances the learning experience for students taking film studies or related courses. It also provides a creative space for students to express their artistic ideas and develop storytelling abilities. Experts, film critics, and professors are often invited to share their insights and experiences with the members. he club meets once every second week of the month to screen a film followed by a group discussion where students share their views and opinions. Regular screenings include artistic cinema, documentaries, and short films. These activities not only foster appreciation for cinema as an art form but also promote liberal arts education through critical thinking and reflective dialogue. Overall, the Student’s Film Club serves as a creative hub for aspiring filmmakers and film enthusiasts, encouraging thoughtful analysis, aesthetic appreciation, and a deeper understanding of the power of visual storytelling.
